Austin Bulter picked the right time to shine.

Entering the July NCAA sanctioned live period, Butler was getting some attention from Division II programs. He hadn’t narrowed down any list but had a strong feeling about one.

However, while PK Flash played a few of the Elevate Hoops events for most of the month, Butler caught the eye of Holy Cross coaching staff. They watched, followed and offered the Latrobe (PA) High product. Butler appreciated their faith in him and after visiting he returned the favor by committing on Monday night.

“The coaches were all trustworthy, honest and loyal with me,” the 6-foot-4 sharpshooting guard said. “Those were the most important things for me. I feel like I got in well with them and they said they feel like I can contribute early in my career.”

Prior to committing, Butler made visits to Colgate and New Hampshire as well. He also had some Division II offers, where Wheeling Jesuit University was his other consideration. Butler also held offers from Fairmont State, Merrimack, Navy, New Hampshire and West Chester.
