Seminoles get commitment from Isaac

Loyalty helped make Jonathan Isaac’s college decision.

The 6-foot-9 prospects from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, pledged his commitment to Florida State via twitter on Monday.

“I selected FSU because I love everything the coaching staff and the school is about,” Isaac said. “I’ve developed a great relationship with coach (Leonard) Hamilton and coach (Dennis) Gates. They believed in me even before I was ranked.”

Isaac’s final list included Kentucky, Wake Forest, Miami and LSU before committing to the Seminoles. His ascension up the national rankings was a fast one.

In the first half of the summer, Isaac averaged 14.2 points and 5.6 rebounds a game with Each 1 Teach 1 on the Nike EYBL circuit.

His verbal commitment gives the Seminoles its third thus far with guards Trent Forrest and C.J. Walker. When you add Dwayne Bacon, Malik Beasley, Terrance Mann and Jean Marc Christ Koumadje already on the Tallahassee campus, Isaac loves how the Seminoles recruiting building for the future.

“I see them being really special,” Isaac said. “Bacon, Mann, Beasley are all special players and we are just adding pieces.”
