Robinson becomes Tar Heels second verbal commitment from Class of 2016

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – The opportunity to develop into his highest potential was one of the main things Brandon Robinson was looking for in a college program.
On Monday, the Georgia native found the best fit for himself. Robinson committed to North Carolina.
“I feel like coach (Roy) Williams and coach (Hubert) Davis believe in my game and can help me improve and reach my dreams and goals,” Robinson told ESPN.com. “North Carolina has a great basketball tradition, and I want to be part of something special and take part in continuing that tradition.”
Robinson also considered Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Louisville.
North Carolina is getting a 6-foot-5 shooting guard who is going to put in work on and off the court. Robinson exploded over the summer on Nike’s EYBL circuit with the Georgia Stars and Adidas’ stage with Team Loaded. The Tar Heels staff had a chance to watch Robinson’s skills while playing with the North Carolina-based squad.
Robinson is the second player to commit to North Carolina in the Class of 2016. Florida’s Tony Bradley a 6-foot-10 center/power forward was the Tar Heels first pledge.
