SENECA FALLS, NY – Every year the Finger Lakes Slam Fest gathers the best teams in the region for an annual showcase event.

The likes of Marcus Camby and John Wallace have played in the tournament. These are the most notable of the former participants. Some new faces may emerge from the 2015 edition of the Slam Fest and propel some new names into the spotlight.

Here they are:

Quinton Rose (2016, pictured above/Roc City Ballers) was the most versatile player in the tournament. The 6-foot-5 guard knows how to run a team, play angles and gets buckets with ease. He normally runs with Albany City Rocks on the EYBL Circuit but when he’s home the Bishop Kearney product laces them up for Roc City Ballers. RCB won the 17U title without Rose’s services. Several top Division I programs have offered Rose including Florida State, George Washington, Kent St., Memphis, Minnesota, Northwestern, Providence, Richmond, Seton Hall, SMU, St. Joseph’s Temple and Wake Forest.

Keith McGee (2017/Primetime) is a name college coaches will need to follow. The 6-foot-3 guard is smooth on both ends of the floor. He shoots the ball well and is a relentless defender.

Jeenathon Williams (2017/585 Bobcats) is a long and athletic player with a relentless motor. The 6-foot-7 U-Prep product plays above the rim any time the ball is thrown his way. He also runs the floor like a guard. Williams scored 38 points in the 16U championship, which was a tournament high.

Ryan Reagan (2016/Boro Elite) is a good looking athlete with a great touch. The 6-foot-8 General McLane High product knows how to use his body inside and out. He has a strong basketball IQ with greater vision. Reagan is a matchup issue because of his versatility. Division I programs like American and the Naval Academy have inquired. Look for those interest to pick-up as the July LIVE period gets started again.

Isaiah Stewart (2019/Primetime) is a budding star. The 6-foot-8 power forward is playing up in the 16U division and doing more than holding it down on the interior. He is not afraid of contact and handles double-teams well. Stewart is a rim runner, who finishes above the rim. The sky’s the limit.

Arnez Huseinovic (2016/Roc City Ballers) is a workhorse of a player. The 6-foot-6 Britton High product is a force inside. He has a nice touch around the basket and rebounds well.

Isaiah Preston (2016/Central Western Red) is as poised a floor general a coach can have in the game. The Penfield High product runs the team like a highly skilled conductor. He’s tough at getting to the basket and is an excellent on ball defender.

Jerome Brabham (2016/D-Squad) is a two-sport player with a strong ability to fill the basket up. The Notre Dame High product from Utica has an offer from Connecticut to play football. Expect both the basketball and football interest continue for this athlete

      No girls?

      Hello Sam,
Thank you for the comment. Actually, I am trying to compile enough girls information to put out some standouts. However, here is the dilemma. Parents and coaches are reluctant about providing information to help their athletes get some exposure. I understand it which is why this girls list will be small even if it doesn’t have a full list of players.
If coaches/parents provide the information I can then put something together. We will look to do a much better job in the future to get this information but we need help. Maybe you can speak with your coach and give them the approval when someone asks for their players name.
