SENECA FALLS, NY – Winning seems to have become a habitual habit for RAP Wayne.

Those winning ways continued on Sunday. RAP captured the 14U boys Finger Lakes Slam Fest championship with a 40-36 win over the ST Rage. This was the teams closet game of the tournament. It was also the teams fifth title in seven tournaments.

“We didn’t play our best but found a way to win,” RAP coach Bill Thomson said.

RAP Wayne needed some late defensive stops to get the victory. ST Rage clawed its way into the game when RAP failed to make some easy baskets.

Things became interesting in the waning seconds when ST Rage was fouling to extend the game. The strategy was not as affective as RAP nailed seven of eight free throws down the stretch to win the game.
