COLUMBUS, GA – Keyshaun Fleetion is a self-proclaimed “Home Body.” The St. Anne-Pacelli senior has found a new home, however, it is just a little bit further than the cozy surroundings of Columbus, GA.

His new home will now be 303 miles in Denmark, SC after Fleetion signed with Vorhees College and new head coach Cabral Huff. Surrounded by friends and family in his Columbus home and many more via Zoom, Fleetion just knew being a Tiger was right.

“It felt like home when I went on a visit,” he said on Thursday. “Based own my personality,” I loved it. It fit me.”

Fleetion, who intends on majoring in either business or entrepreneur, selected the Historically Black College and University because it was Destiny over Destination. He was intrigued by the surroundings and the comfort of black culture, but it wasn’t the only or the primary reason Fleetion committed to the Tiger Vision.

He believes in the direction coach Huff plans on taking the program.

“This is everything I have dreamed up,” said Fleetion, who is averaging 12 points and 10 rebounds a game this season for the Vikings. “It is good to further my eduction. Coach wants me to come into the program and develop.”

Believing what is in store for him at Vorhees is exciting for Fleetion. His new coach, who was part of the signing, was also excited about the decision.

The first time Huff reached out to Fleetion said he could not speak at the moment. This is when the Vorhess coach was confused. Fleetion returned the phone call a little later and told Huff he was praying when the first call was made. This is when Huff knew he had to recruit this future Tiger.

Fleetion was showered with praise from family members in attendance at home or on the Zoom call. When asked what he would miss the most heading to college, Fleetion said his family and the support group.

Well, he still has a senior season to complete but his future home in just under five hours away.
