Hebron’s Fisher makes versatile impact on the court

DACULA, GA – Hebron Christian Academy is having a successful season. The Lions are on track to make another deep run in the Georgia High School Athletic Association basketball tournament.

This fourth-ranked team improved to 13-2 after Tuesday nights win over Grayson. The Lions are on a seven-game winning streak, which includes a win over previous undefeated Collins Hill, 69-61, on Saturday.

While Hebron is a talent-laden team with plenty of chemistry and unselfish play the play of senior Malia Fisher is impressive. The 6-foot-2 forward is a Rice University signee is a walking double-double. She also could easily be the glue to the Lions team.

It is hard to miss out on Fisher. Whenever she is on the floor Fisher is certain to make an impactful play.

When you watch her play, Fisher looks like a high school woman’s basketball player version of former NBA and Duke University standout Shane Battier. She does all the things to help the team win. This could be anything from an open jumper, a critical rebound or dropping off a soft pass to an open teammate. Her performance against Collins Hill contributed to the teams victory.
