Future Elite All-America: Girl’s notebook

By Robert Alfonso Jr.

Tampa, FL – The inaugural Future Elite All-American girls showcase was a tremendous success.

Some of the top female high school players in the Sunshine state rolled into Tampa looking to get in some skill work and exposure to help lay the foundation for the upcoming season. These players went through skills, drills, and open runs while executing basketball concepts they can use moving forward.

The future of the girl’s game is now. These young ladies will make an impact on how not only the game is played but where it will be in the future.

Here are the players we know will be heard about this coming season.

Amaya Shaw | 2025 | Kathleen High | is a highly-skilled forward capable of playing inside or out. She used her 6-foot-2 frame to dominate both ends of the floor. Her soft hands, touch, and ability to finish through contact made things difficult for defenders. When she caught the ball on the perimeter her jumper was smooth. She attacked the glass grabbing rebounds outside of her area, while also being able to put the floor on the floor makes her a major prospect to watch.

Sumayah McIntosh | 2025 | Lakewood | was one of the more athletic players on the floor at any given time. This multi-sport athlete put her athleticism on display with every possession. Her instincts, athleticism, and 5-foot-9 frame allowed her to make impressive plays on both ends of the floor. She finished around the basket on downhill drives and then knocked down midrange jumpers. Her rebounding efforts on the glass were productive. The hustle and effort will always keep her on the floor.

Allevia Williams | 2026 | Clearwater | is a wiry and mobile forward. She impacted the game by attacking the glass and looking to get inside position for easy baskets. William’s length helped disrupt possessions on the defensive end.

Khalia Woodley | 2025 | Alonso | lived in the lane driving downhill against defenders. She was quick and crafty in getting to the rim. This helped open up others for timely baskets and passes.

Alahni Lovett | 2025 | Lakewood | is a shooting guard with plenty of confidence. Her jumper looked smooth coming off her hands before cutting through the net. She can shoot the ball off the dribble. The ability to either spot up or take shots off the dribble made it tough for others to defend. She does not stop running to get open for a shot. This perimeter threat is precise and accurate and will grow consistently throughout her development.

Lloa James | 2025 | Lakewood | is an active rebounder on both ends of the floor. She was a relentless defender. This 6-foot center’s length and natural athleticism caused plenty of issues. James is a solid team player looking to always looking to provide effort and hustle on the floor.

Giselle “GiGi” Allen | 2024 | Ball Creek | was getting jiggy with the basketball on the court. The lightning-quick point guard. She danced with the ball at 5-foot-4 while handling it on a string with control in her low center of gravity. The way she changed the pace and play of the position made her fun to watch as teammates benefited from her court vision along with precision passing. She is a talented ball-handler and a floor general to track for the next few years.

Peyton Flounoy | 2025 | Gibbs | displayed an innate ability to be coached. She took to all the instructions through all the stations and skills work. When she stepped on the floor those moments translated into her getting to the rim and making players for others, her quiet demeanor and absorption of information were poured out with every possession. She had a good shot selection and finished through contact a number of times.
