Jr. NBA Global Championship brackets are set

ORLANDO, FL – The Jr. NBA Global Championship has descended down on Central Florida this week. Teams have come from all over the world in hopes of being a world champion.

This week there have been four teams who have secured the top spots in their pools. Now the brackets have been set for this weekend. Games begin today, Friday, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney.

The top seeded teams on the United States boys side are the Mid-Atlantic and the Southeast team. 

On the International side, Africa and Canada were the undefeated teams. Africa is averaging 70 points per game.

The common denominator for all these teams success is their offensive dominance. Southeast is averaging 78 points a game. Mid-Atlantic is scoring at a 74 point clip. Africa has scored 70 points per contest. Canada is averaging 69 points a game.

Marouf Moumine, from Africa, has led all scorers with 23 points per game efforts. He is uber athletic with the ability to score from every level.

Amani Hansberry is averaging 22.3 per game for the Mid-Atlantic team.

The Southeast is led by the duo of Kannan Carlyle and Isaiah Collier, who are averaging 19.7 a game.

On the girls side there have been four equally powerful teams.

The Central and Northwest teams went undefeated in the US pools.

Canada and Latin America have dominated the International half of pool play.

Northwest is averaging just under 80 points per game. Central is averaging 67 points per game. Canada has averaged 61.7 per contest. Latin America is scoring a orchestrated 51 points per.

Breya Cunningham, from the West squad, leads all scorers with 22.7 points per game. The Northwest’s Malia Samuels is second among the girls averaging 22.3 a contest. Teammate Isabella Sullivan has filled up the nets at 19.7 a game.

All these teams are in survive and advance mode.
