By Robert Alfonso Jr.

Marietta, GA – In a game of will, Eagle’s Landing asserted itself in its showcase game at the Lemon Street Classic.

The Eagles run in the third quarter helped them cruise to a 73-50 win Tuesday at Marietta High. Eagle’s Landing (10-0) remains undefeated.

One of the brightest spots for the Eagles was Khylah McKennie. The senior point guard set the tone early with his aggressive play. His energy carried over into the third after a tightly played first half. McKennie got to the rim and ran the offense finishing with a team-high 18 points. The Eagles also had David Thomas (17 points), a Mercer signee, Kenneth Brayboy (12), and Chris Morris (11) in double-figures.

Buford (6-3) was led by Brennan Wasley with 18 points. David Burnett added 11 points.
