Macon, GA – The annual Macon Dream Come True Showcase put on by Cory provides a stage for prospects looking for an opportunity while playing in front of college coaches. Many players came from South Georgia, which does not always get the attention Metro Atlanta gets throughout the season.
Several unsigned seniors made a splash, but some younger players made a splash at the deep end of the evaluation pool this year. Let’s look at which players made the impression to garner attention.
Kameron Plummer | 2025 | Houston County continues to show the ability to get to the basket with some ease. His explosive first step gets him into the lane quickly. The handle is on a string and the court vision is impeccable. His mid-range was on point in all the games and stations. Plummer is poised to make a big jump this summer.
Michael Rowe | 2027 | St. Anne-Pacelli jumped out in more ways than one. He is a young prospect who understands how to run the floor from rim to rim. Rowe finishes above the rim and is built better than most high school seniors. His motor and court vision go well with any offense. He is a two-foot jumper and is a highlight clip waiting to happen. Once his offensive game polishes, Rowe will become a household prospect.
Morion McWhorter | 2027 | Therrell has made vast improvement throughout the season. At 6-foot-6, this interior prospect has tremendous potential. His wingspan allows him to cradle rebounds in traffic. He is physical and is growing. McWhorter is a traditional post-player and will only get better with continued development. His game resembled that of former Marietta High standout and current Arkansas State player Izayiah Nelson. There is no prediction of his future but one never knows when the work is consistent.
Isaiah Cannon | 2025 | Lowndes showed the ability to tenacious defense. He was locked in on the defensive end of the floor on every possession. His effort is not always seen in a camp environment when most players are looking to get buckets. Cannon was focused on stopping the ball regularly.
Emanuel Befekadu | 2024 | Meadowcreek showed plenty of promise throughout the showcase. This floor general was hitting shots and making the right decisions. He played with tremendous calm and pace while looking to get others involved.
Jarvis Wright | 2025 | Ware County is known as a shooter. However, he wanted to show off something he has picked up at his new school. His ability to play defense. He was locked in defensively making key plays and guarding like a region title was on the line. His frame is no longer thinned out. Wright has been spenidng time in the weight room and it has not taken away from his ability to shoot. Look for him to put his skills and physic on display this spring and summer.
Miehki Williams | 2026 | St. Anne-Pacelli is a different looking athlete with length with tremendous bounce. He was a solid finisher around the basket while playing well off of both shoulders. His ability to take on contact is impressive for a young player.
Karon Plummer | 2028 | Houston County has tremendous potential. This young fella has a slender build with a smooth feel for the game. He was not afraid or shy in competing with older or stronger players. Put him on your list because he is a name to track. As he continues to grow, so will his game.
