SUWANEE, GA – The third edition of the UA Association Finals tips-off in Atlanta. This is where it all gets decided after three previous stops this travel season. Teams plan on sticking to the script as it makes the UAA title run.

Philly Pride and WeR1 17U teams met up in Philadelphia for The Showdown championship on Sunday. Both teams may not have been at full tilt but made sure to workout whatever little kinks it had before this second Live evaluation period.

“We feel we are one of the best teams in Under Armour,” Philly Pride coach Sean Colson said after winning the championship. “I like our chances (of winning a title). We have to play the same way we have been playing but have to step it up another level.”

Philly Pride was one of the 16 teams to make the UAA Finals. The team from the City of Brotherly Love is seeded 9th and it will play 8th-seeded Team Breakdown from Florida on Thursday at 7 pm.

WeR1, a third-seed, plays the Houston Defenders at 8:15 pm. The rest of the schedule can be found here.

However, despite losing the championship on Sunday, WeR1’s coach James Johns wasted no time turning his attention to Atlanta.

“We are going to continue doing what we do,” he said. “There are no special preparations. We are going to do what got us there.”
