Atlanta, GA – The annual Swish Scout x BTS Report Fall League came to a conclusion this past week. During the three weeks of action, the matchups resembled an unmatched playoff atmosphere at Therrell High School.
Sixty teams participated in the weekend with the energy in both gyms had mid-January vibes opposed to early-October feel. The games and the players to make names for themselves just before the start of the season fluctuated.
Here are some names to track on the year. If you don’t have their schedule on hand make sure you find it
2027 David Williams | 6’2 | CG | Maynard Jackson
Williams continues to show why is one of the best available players in the state. The guard is just active on both ends of the floor. His leadership was on full display on the weekend. He gets others involved and is always talking them up with positive motivation. Williams has good court vision and drops off a number of quality passes for easy buckets. He can then score at a high clip and is not afraid of any big moment on either end of the floor.
2028 Stevie Shields | 6’9 | F | Paideia
Shields’ stock has risen since the start of the summer. His confidence and swag is sprout at the right time. He is a long sculpted player, who is showing plenty of versatility, committing to the weight room. Shields gets deep in the paint and is not getting pushed off his spot. His touch around the rim is soft. The expansion of his game has varied since the end of the season. He is catching passes off the backboard for dunks. Then he can step out and shoot the three-ball from various spots on the floor. t is going to make him difficult to guard because the internal belief is growing. For those old enough to know the game Shields looks like Rick Smits, who played in the NBA for years.
2027 Kwabena Jones | 6’2 | CG | Maynard Jackson
Jones is a running mate anyone would want on their team. He is a lefty shooter who got it going early nailing three consecutive jumpers. Those open jumpers created offensive momentum for the Jaguars. Jones can also put it on the floor to create scoring opportunities. His perimeter shooting will force defenders to make a decision that will not always go in their favor.
2027 Chris Wray | 6’6 | G | Middle Georgia Prep
Wray took on a different role than normal. He served as the teams facilitator which helped the offense rolling. The hybrid guard saw over the defense to run the offense. He dealt timely passes by manipulating the defense with his ability to get paint touches. Though is duty was to run the team Wray did not stop scoring. His offensive bag was on display whenever needed. Showing he can run a team will continue to attract more attention from college programs looking for a longer facilitator.
2028 Julian Montgomery | 6’1 | CG | South Cobb
Montgomery took the three weeks to make a name for himself. The shifty guard showed he is a competitor. He has taken the responsibility and the coaching to be a major contributor for the Eagles. Getting this level of freedom on both ends of the floor gives Montgomery the confidence to play freely. He gets to the basket with ease and the time in the weight room has helped him absorb contact. His feel for the game will continue to grow. Look for him to soar this season solely based on the performances from the Fall.
2027 Alex McCoy | 6’4 | F | Osborne
McCoy continues to show the Cardinals will ride his skills early on the year. He moves well without the ball and finds himself open whenever. Playing though contact helps him get going. He thrives on the physical play. Finishing in the lane or at the rim with a variety of shots makes it hard for defenders.
2027 Jaylin Brown | 6’5 | SG | Newnan
Brown was extremely explosive. He is a lefty scorer looking to either punish the rim with a thunderous dunk or fend off a defender for a tough basket. His jumper is one that comes fluid despite the location on the floor. He knows how to score and electrify a team. One thing is certain, Brown will compete from opening-tip to final buzzer.
2027 Tristen Mitchell | 5’9 | PG | Paideia
Mitchell has all the tools and skills to run a program. This floor general plays low and in angles to cause total havoc on either end of the floor. He found teammates in tight spots. His pace and change of direction ignited the Pythons offense. He got into the paint willingly and delivered hook passes across the floor for open jumper after another. Mitchell is good in the pick-and-roll too knowing when to dish or race to the rim. If defenders did decide to play off him, his range from beyond the three-point arc is consistent. Mitchell is also a tenacious defender with a nose for the ball. Any program looking for leader can find one on South Ponce De Leon Ave.
2028 Anwar Mollette | 6’6 | F | Salem
Mollette is one of the smoothest shooters in the class. He elevates on every shot with textbook release. The competitor in him comes out which is when he gets going. He went shot for shot and never backed down. When he does put it on the deck you are certain to find him finishing at the rim. Time in the weight room has enhanced his game.
2027 Mahdi Light | 6’0 | G | WD Mohammed
Light had himself several bright moments in the auxiliary gym. He ran the team and looked in control of the offense while also being able to score on his own. His ability to play on and off the ball is seamless. He does not look too rushed and knows how to deliver when needed.
2029 Kingston Clahar | 6’2 | SG | Newton
Clahar was a consistent bright spot for the Rams on the weekend. He is a calm and poised hooper. His movement was fluid for a guy who gets plenty of attention from opponents. This will not be anything new as the season comes. Clahar knows how to score the ball in an efficient way. His patience to find the right spots to score. When he does get open the comes in bushels. He is a solid defender with quick hands. Seeing him play it is easy to see why several Division I programs have extended offers. Look for many more to come.
2029 Jordan Duncan | 6’6 | F | South Cobb
Duncan is a name many will be locked in with over the next few years. He is a hybrid forward capable of playing inside and out. His length helps disrupt things on either end of the floor. Duncan rebounds well outside of his area. There are few rebounds that got away from him. Don’t let his youthful face shield the heart that beats inside of him. He has good footwork inside the paint but can also extend the floor from three-point range. Remember the name because it will be heard often across the state before it’s all said and done.
2027 Kannon Hall | 6’1 | PG | Middle Georgia Prep
Hall showed plenty of promise in the two weeks of Fall league action. This week things just popped off going scorched earth rom the perimeter. He raced around nailing four consecutive jumpers. Hall has a quick release and the range to be a lethal weapon. When he is the primary ball handler, he will navigate his way into the lane and deliver to open teammates. His first-step makes it hard for defenders to truly stay in front of him.
2028 Abraham Feleke | 6’2 | CG | Osborne
Feleke was one of the steadiest players on the weekend. It did not matter what was going, he was never too high or low based on the action taking place on the floor. As the primary ball handler, at times, he will facilitate and get everyone involved. He is also meticulous playing off the ball driving to the rim and nailing jumpers like he did hitting the game-winner in the teams final game.
2029 Austin Parks | 6’6 | F | Newnan
Parks is a name everyone will need to pay attention this season. This young man is long, wiry, and bouncy. He is a rim protector with the ability to get off the floor quickly. His wing span will either alter a shot or return it to the sender. He can score with his back to the basket or face up. Parks did deliver the highlight of the weekend by extending himself towards the rim throwing in a one-handed dunk. Moments like those are just a glimpse of what Parks can be in the future.
2030 Cayden Jones | 5’9 | PG | Stone Mountain
The first seeing Jones on the floor he can look out of place. But when you see him with the ball in his hands there is no mistake, this floor general is the orchestrator. He moves the ball in a meticulous way. His vision and pinpoint passing was impressive for a young floor general. The lefty has the ball on a string with plenty of control. He scores in tight spots despite being one of the small guys on the floor. Jones growth will be one worth tracking.
2027 Charles Lewis | 6’7 | F | Ola
Lewis is a big body post player. He uses that body well around the basket. His footwork is solid combined with a soft left-handed finish makes him difficult to guard. Lewis loves the contact. He also is relentless on the glass. Add his high motor and Lewis becomes hard to stop. He is a double-double magnet.
2028 Joseph “JoJo” Griffin | 6’6 | PF | Salem
Griffin is a tactician in the paint with an old school flare. He plays with his back to the basket and is not going to shy from being assertive. His big body frame keeps defenders at bay. Griffin’s relentless motor and vision for seeking rebounds. He fends off defenders. His game will continue to flourish this season as his responsibilities increase.
2028 Musa Rasheed | 6’3 | G | WD Mohammed
Rasheed is a hybrid guard that can play inside and outside. He is a matchup issue for guards in the post while also being a handful to any post player looking to guard him on the perimeter.
2028 Trey Sullivan | 6’3 | PG | Middle Georgia Prep
Sullivan is a new floor general name to jot down in Georgia. The Boston native is still getting a feel for Souther hoops and is handling it on the fly. He is setting up the team while playing with a gritty Massachusetts chip on his shoulder. His game is to get everyone involved, delivering passes with a flare. Sullivan has a good offensive bag from the three-point line to the rim. He is also sneaky bouncy finishing with some impressive highlights in transition after picking the pocket of opponents.
2029 Austin Coleman | 6’2 | PG | Mays
Coleman is a floor general who will be asked to do carry a lot this coming season. The young man has a baby face but the heart of competitor. He battles through contact while staying on balance. His game continues to mature and has grown since the Summer time. Coleman is being handed the keys to the program.
