Atlanta, GA – New Balance P32 is headed to Memphis this weekend.
Before they got to Tennessee, the circuit made a stop in Atlanta a few weeks ago. Teams always want to descend onto the Peach State looking for some competitive games. This stop did not disappoint.
Here are a list of names one will need to follow this season during the New Balance P32 circuit.
McKenney is a highly skilled forward. This gentle giant has tremendous footwork and a soft touch around the rim. He can extend the floor with his jumper. His desire to be coached showed when he locked eyes with head coach Jeff McInnis, who was coaching him up, before dabbing up the NBA veteran. McKenney is a sleeper of a talent and should garner some serious collegiate interested soon.
Dallas is an impressive talent who will turn the corner this summer. The New York City native is a calculated player who explodes to the rim with purpose. His athletic prowess helps him get buckets as a rapid pace. Look for him to turn some heads during the circuit.
The best shooter during the Atlanta Regional, Blake is a name every college program will want to become familiar with this summer. He averaged 18 points a game, three rebounds, and two assists over three games. His biggest asset is drilling three-pointers from deep. Blake’s confidence grew with every shot going 15-for-21 from three-point range. The son of NBA veteran, Steve Blake, will be listed as one of the best shooters on this circuit. Lock on him now because it’s a skillset every college program needs.
As far as upside is concerned, no player was more impressive than Cooper. Playing up an age group he looks certainly comfortable on the floor. His ability to shoot over guys helped him knockdown mid-range or deep jumpers. The poise he displayed was beyond his years controlling the pace of the game. He is just scratching the surface right now.
Molette is a name everyone will learn about this year. This small forward is a sniper capable of hitting open and tough shots. He elevated over defenders and was deadly on every offensive possession. Molette holds offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, and UNLV. The list should grow when more schools have a chance to see him.
Skinner is the type of player one would expect to see on the roster. He is long, wiry, and explosive. His length is disruptive on the defensive end of the floor getting into passing lanes creating transition baskets. Whenever he is not setting the defensive tone, the DME Academy product has a strong mid-range. Breakdown has had a history of producing high-level guards. By summers end his name will be added to the list.
Fleming is an intriguing prospect. He can score through contact, while also being able to play with finesse. One of the more impressive parts of his game is his defense. His nose is to the ball usually against the other teams hottest scorer.
Size and strength are the best attributes Walton displays on the floor. He is an imposing rim protector inside altering or blocking shots. Getting the ball a few feet from the basket finishes with a dunk or a soft touch. Post players willing to play defense is rare which makes Walton an intriguing prospect.
Every team needs a hard hat player on the roster like Griffin. He is focused on protecting the interior with great lateral movement. Griffin will crash the boards on both ends of the floor and is fearless. Once he gets the ball inside the amount of contact he absorbs is something he welcomes. His lunch pale approach will garner some inquiries.
Doreste is a physical guard who gets into the lane every trip down the floor. He will find contact and finish one way or another. The way he used angles made him a tough guard overall. Look for this Bahamians game to continue to grow.
