Future Elite All-American Camp: notebook

Tampa, FL – The fourth annual Future Elite All-American Camp assembled some of the best talent in the Southeast and a player came from Nevada to compete in one of the best evaluation camps before the start of the high school season.

These players had evaluators associated with John Lucas camp and the NBA Top 100 camp, which are the premier camps for high school players. Many are really looking to get the Top 100 invite for the summer, which takes place in Orlando.

Here are some of the players looking to get on many coaches radar.

2025 Kevin Thomas | Sagemont Prep

The Coral Springs native stood out like a sore thumb. When you have a 6-foot-7 muscle chiseled frame it is hard to miss. He attacked the rim with purpose with a number of athletic finishes. His ability to stretch the floor with jumpers from just about any spot on the floor. He showed plenty of consistency with his range. Look for him to turn some heads this prep season.

2026 Jasen Lopez | Chaminade Madonna

Lopez has always always been a favorite just from his play over the summer in Georgia. The 6-foot point guard is a pit bull who doesn’t look threatening but will certainly deliver on the floor. He runs the team with poise and a pace every program needs in its leader. The Miami, FL native, of Cuban decent, has superb decision making skills. He sees the floor and threads passes into tight spots where only his teammate can get them. His ability to finish in traffic displays his toughness. The wide receiver is a problem on the gridiron scoring three touchdowns for 150 plus yards. Then he came to camp the next day. He holds more than 16 Division 1 football offers. Several of those programs have had the conversation with its basketball program about allowing Lopez to play both sports. 

2027 Asa Montgomery | Hillgrove

Montgomery is one word the more talented players in the class in Georgia. He is a 6-foot-6 wing capable of playing inside and out. His versatility makes him difficult to guard. The Marietta, Georgia is growing into his game. He cleans up the inside with any rebound or defensive stops. His handle helps him to get the fastbreak started. As his game continues to develop and grow, Montgomery will become a name many college programs will have on their list in the next few years. 

2027 Martay Barnes | The Academy of Central Florida

Barnes was easily one of the more explosive guards in camp. The Orlando, FL product is a 6-foot-3 flash of lightning. If a defender isn’t careful, they will be chasing Barnes, who is always looking to push the ball up the floor. He will get in the paint with relative ease and make high level decisions. Whenever he was not getting into the lane his jumper was locked and loaded. Barnes is also bouncy enough to put defenders on highlight clips. He is an elite passer. One of the talents not talked enough is his ability to be coachable while flashing a high level smile. This is a future star on and off the court.

2027 Braydon Langston | East Hall

Langston is a not a name people across the country really know – just yet. However, the Gainesville, Georgia small forward is known in the region and to college coaches, which is just the beginning. He is a 6-foot-7 small forward who excels in the open floor. He brings versatility to the floor and is a solid rebounder Langston knows how to play the game at a high level and has been tested. This past summers explosion but just the beginning. He is actually younger than many people in the class below his across the country. He is only going to get better, stronger, and faster as his game grows.

2027 Aaron Britt Jr | The Villages

Britt has been on this radar since the summer high school live period. The 6-foot-2 is a tenacious leader and a poised point guard. He finishes in any way possible at the rim. His game is an equal balance of finesse and physicality. He wiggles through traffic and knows what to do in finding others. His jumper is consistent and hard to defend due to the elevation. Britt’s poise and leadership is also displayed off the court. He is a high character individual always looking to learn and engage with coaches. The Buffaloes have another future star coming through the program in Britt.

2026 Evan Roberts | Palmetto

Roberts has been a thorn in opponents side in the Sunshine state for a long time. The Bradenton, Florida’s game has evolved graciously over the last few years. At 6-foot-2, the shooting guard is an electrifying player in the open floor. His elite level athleticism and quickness is par with his scoring ability. Roberts is also an elite on ball defender. This combination will catch the eye of a college program looking for a hard elite worker.

2026 Landyn Colyer | SFA Academy

The Land O Lakes, Florida natives name was all the buzz in the latter half of the summer. Many were enamored with his game because at 6-foot-6 Colyer stretched the floor nailing jumpers from deep. His range is impressive and consistent. He has a good looking frame and developing a college ready body. His game has already attracted the eyes of a number of college programs from across the country. He will continue to garner this attention. 

2027 Charlie Cohn | Sagemont Prep

This mountain of a young man stands at 7-feet tall. The Jupiter, Florida center has great size and good hands. His movement throughout all the drills was impressive. He has sold hands and a good touch around the basket. His physic allowed him to establish himself inside. As you watch him play, Cohn favors Robin Lopez, who played in the NBA, with his hairstyle and a little bit in his game. Cohn’s ceiling is far from being reached. Many post players take time to develop. His size alone will help attract many college programs looking for a skilled big man.

2027 Jalen White | Bella Vista Prep

White has the look of an elite athletic player. He didn’t disappoint. The 6-foot-7 dual forward from Las Vegas, Nevada can do a little bit of everything on the floor. He created off the bounce while also looking for others in scoring position. White had several dunks, which turned heads. He is an exceptional rebounder and is always looking to push the ball up the floor. His demeanor was a stoic one.

2027 Quincy Douby Jr | Miami Southridge

Douby had himself a strong camp. The Miami, Florida native is a 6-foot-5 is a smooth looking point guard. He looked to get others involved regularly, but knocked down shots whenever presented the opportunity. Douby plays with a level of calm and has a pace that never looked rushed or rattled. Another thing that stood out was his ability to lock down opponents. Some more time in the gym will soon help him game propel.

2028 Trace Westercamp | Ponte Vedra

Westercamp is quite the young man. He stands at 6-foot-9, from Coral Springs, Florida. He is a lefty with a good looking shot. His ability to stretch the floor with a consistent jumper. This is impressive because most players his size do not have the level of consistency from the perimeter. His presence in the paint shined by blocking shots at a high rate. Playing both ends of the floor will have several college programs looking to get Westercamp on campus. 

2027 Gabe Grimsley | Berkeley Prep

Grimsley is a good floor general. His plays were effective on both ends of the floor. He handled the ball against pressure and excelled. The Tampa, Florida native has a strong body at 6-foot. He was stronger than some of the other guards.  

2026 Joseph Hartman | The Rock School

Hartman is a load to contend with on the floor. He plays downhill and gets to the basket regardless of how a defense reacts. His strength does not hinder his touch from the perimeter. In the open floor, Hartman is a terror and will mix it up. He will either knockdown a jumper on the perimeter or take someone for a ride to the rim at 6-foot-5 shooting guard. Hartman has a motor that does not stop going. He played with good pace and calculation. His basketball IQ exceeds his age as the son of a college coach in the area.

2027 Antwain Tennell Jr | South Sumter

Tennell is a player who understands how to play the game at a high level. He has been around the game for along time and it showed. His feel for the game is more than just having the ball in his hands. He looks to make an impact on and off the ball. His biggest impact was putting back a game-winning rebound to help his team win a game. Tennell’s game is built on mental toughness, which is needed in today’s game.

2028 Ethan Mott | Pinecrest

Mott is a prospect every college program needs to become aware of this coming summer. The 6-foot-6 Jupiter, Florida native is a 6-foot-6 shooting guard. He scores at three levels and has a good mix of moves in his offensive bag. The ability to make an impact on the floor helps him fill the stat sheet. After seeing him at this camp a year ago, Mott’s game has grown. He will continue to have an upward trend because of his work ethic. There is a good chance he could represent the state of Florida on a national stage one day.

2028 Ank Ring | Victory

Ring was the talk of camp among the younger players. Everyone just talked about him being only 14-years old at 6-foot-9. He moved with plenty of fluidity on the floor. His play on both ends of the floor left and impression. The South Sudan native rebounded, blocked shots, and refused to be pushed around in the paint. He ran the floor like a gazelle and had nice soft hands. College coaches will make their way to Lakeland, Florida to see him play and the South Sudan Men’s Olympic has a future prospect to watch.

2029 Amare Medhin | Wilson Academy

Medhin had a quiet camp for the most part. However, the Atlanta native made an impression in game play. He knocked down a few jumpers while handling the ball. This 5-foot-10 traditional guard was one of the few eight graders in the camp. He really was looking to get a feel for the games quickness. Medhin is going to get better at making decisions the more he continues playing for Wilson Academy. 

2027 Xavier Baker | The Dunham School

Baker was cooking whenever possible. The Geismar, Louisiana combo was relentless on both ends of the floor. He put together a string of performances in game play. His ability to score the ball through contact just showed his toughness. Being on the ball more and making strong decisions will be a good addition to his game.  

2026 Tayshawn Caesar | The Rock School

Caesar brought his West Coast game to the Sunshine State and shined. The 6-foot Las Vegas, Nevada native plays with a lot of flare. He handles the pace of the game and makes good decisions. His jumper is smooth. Looking forward to seeing him play in the SIAA and during the Grind Session.
