Lemon Street Classic: Gritty effort gets Pacelli the victory

By Robert Alfonso Jr.

Marietta, GA – St. Anne-Pacelli is undersized but the way it plays on the hardwood you couldn’t tell.

The Vikings left it all on the floor in its final game of the Lemon Street Classic squeezing out a 63-59 win over Therrell at Marietta High Tuesday night.

Both teams had the action in the auxiliary gym rocking as they scrapped and clawed throughout the game. In the end, the Vikings’ shooting and defensive effort outlasted Therrell.

Leading the way for St. Anne-Pacelli was senior Cam Ellis, who finished with 16 points. TJ Smith had 13 points. Jayddence Ford recorded 11 points.

The Panthers refused to let up in any way. They played until the final buzzer. Jordan Lovett finished with a game-high 21-points. Laquavious Bailey added 17 points. Andrew Taylor had nine points.
