OTR Super 64 Notebook: Class of 2023

By Robert Alfonso Jr.

NORCROSS, Ga. – Many of Georgia’s top players attended On the Radar Hoops Super 64 Camp looking to carve their own lane toward getting solid exposure.

Players ranged from the Class of 2023 through 2026. Some of them took advantage of the moment to help show they need to be in any conversation when it comes to the best players in the state.

Here are the members of the Class of 2023 who made an impression.

Niko Wilson | 2023 | Lambert | is a bonafide bucker getter. The 6-foot point guard gets to the points quickly on the hardwood. He scores from every angle on the floor and gets through a variety of moves. It does not matter how the points come Niko will make certain to find the bottom of the net. His use of pick and rolls was clinical in itself as this allows him to create space and become a facilitator or a scoring threat. Either way, Niko makes plays with the ball in his hands. The Longhorns have long known they have an efficient team player. Now college coaches need to come in and see it for themselves. They will not be disappointed.

Jase McCullough | 2023 | Pebblebrook | will be at a new home this final season. The 6-foot-3 point guard comes with a bag full of confidence. He showed that in all the games played at the camp. There was never any doubt about his skills or ability on the floor. As a big, strong, and physical floor general, Jase is capable of holding off defensive players to continue running the offense while making calculated decisions. He can shoot over defenders too. Playing for the Falcons this season will enhance his skills under the tutelage of head coach George Washington.

Christoper Whitmore Jr. | 2023 | Tucker | was one of the more tenacious defenders at camp. At 6-foot-4, the Tigers combo guard is in every passing lane possible disrupting plays before they evolve. His velcro-style to opponents served as a reminder to opponents that he was not just going to let them score. They would have to work at getting open. Christopher, however, is not just a defender. He is a solid scorer. His mid-range game is tough and the jumper extends beyond the 3-point. Under Tucker’s system look for him to flourish in this final season. The team’s tempo and pace will make mesh well with his skills.

Justin McCarter | 2023 | Osborne | is a long and rangy player. He impacted the game on both ends of the floor with his length. The Cardinal product controls the game as a combo guard and has a small forward knack for scoring. His game is fluid to the personnel on the floor. Whenever he is not looking to get a bucker, Justin is skilled enough to distribute the ball to open teammates. This unselfish approach helped him stand out even more among other players just looking to score.

Gabe Omoregie | 2023 | Walnut Grove | has all the athletic tools and body frame to play at the collegiate level. There are moments he is either running through contact to the rim or soaring in the air. Many times he was beating defenders to the basket for solid scoring opportunities. Immediately after participating in the camp, Gabe announced he would be starting a new chapter at Wasatch Academy. He also has decided to re-class to the class of 2024. A change of scenery will allow this 6-foot-5 athletic forward to showcase his ability and skills.

Tre Adolphus | 2023 | Thompson | moved through traffic with plenty of control and ease. He is a shifty lefty capable of changing directions on a dime. The control he displayed was one that will help him make plays in tight situations for himself or others. This Thompson (AL) High product is a perennial candidate to run the show. The Warriors will lean on Tre to run the show and direct them.
