Fultz talks latest offers and mission

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Like many highly touted recruits Markelle Fultz has had a long summer.

The 6-foot-5 guard started the travel basketball season in April and has been to nearly every part of the country playing. Many of the top college programs in the country followed him throughout that time.

He has a emerged as one of the Top 10 players in the Class of 2016. His effort has earned him offers from North Carolina and Kentucky.

“These are offers I’ve been waiting on,” said Fultz, who was playing with the DC Blue Devils at the Summer Final. “I think I have been working hard enough to get offers from those high Division I schools.”

The DeMatha Catholic product also has offers from Arizona, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Florida State, Georgetown, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Miami, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas, Southern California, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Washington, West Virginia and Xavier.

Fultz has remained humbled throughout the recruiting process. He continues to push himself achieve a level of success.

“It has been a real blessing that God has let me body stay strong and healthy,” he said. “What I am trying to prove is that I am the best player in the country by going hard every time I can.”
