Cordova, TN – Session I of the Jr. Prelude had some impressive performances in Memphis. Some proficient and outstanding forwards stood out with their ability to score and play on the defensive end.
One of the best plays of the weekend was when Crenshaw turned a defensive steal into a highlight dunk. He stripped a player at the top of the key then took one dribble for a one-handed slam. While everyone watching was excited, Crenshaw just wanted to make another play. His effort was part of this Alabama program’s undefeated weekend.
Allen’s skillset compliments a Max Levels Elite team loaded with talent. His game fits in just nicely. He runs the floor well, can defend all switches comfortably, and can put the ball in the basket. His contribution may go unnoticed by a casual observer, not basketball people.
Johnson helped the California-based organization to a 4-1 record, despite the team only having five players. The only time he came out of the game was during a timeout. He ran to the trainer to wrap a jammed finger before scoring the next 10 straight points to contribute to the team’s comeback win.
Many players who find scoring easy do not necessarily look to attack the glass. Spenkuch is growing into a player who is locked in on both ends of the floor. He pulled down 12 rebounds in the game and was knocking on a double-double through the five-game schedule.
Every solid team has a player with contagious energy. The Detroit-based organization has Muhammad. This young man refuses to let up. He is active and ready to just put the team on his back if necessary.
