CUMMINGS, GA –  The second annual Forsyth Open Gym had a solid outcome.

Some of the counties top juniors and seniors came together in front of college coaches to showcase their abilities. Many of them were looking for an opportunity to catch a programs attention. The players competed as if they were in mid-season form.

Denmark boys basketball program had several players make some impressive performances. Chad Molloy and Stefan Davidov went to work from the opening tip when the seniors were allowed to step on the floor.

Molloy made plays on both ends of the floor. This floor general played with solid pace and change of direction. He knocked down shots from all over the floor, while also taking contact going to the rim. The Virgin Island native was on a mission too as a tenacious defender. His performance showed a glimpse of what will happen with him at the helm. Davidov is a long and highly skilled. At 6-foot-6, the small forward elevated and drilled shots  while also making plays to the rim. He is a solid rebounder and a committed defender.

Keinan McFarlande is one of the tallest player in the county at 6-foot-10. This center got into a rhythm and was unstoppable in spurt. He altered and blocked shots on the defensive end. It made players, at times, second guess going inside. His presence inside made him tough to stop. Look for his double-double average to increase this season. Joseph Brown had some bright moments hitting shots and playing with a great effort.

The newest person in the Danes jersey is Josh Langefels, who transferred in from Kelly High. He is an athletic guard who brings a level of athleticism that will be a booster shot in the offense. However, the 6-foot-4 guard has an excellent skillset. He drills jumpers from any where on the floor. His size has allowed him to absorb contact getting to the lane.

East Forsyth is in its second season but the players look like they are ready to make the next step in the programs growth. The Broncos are led by seniors Matthew Rouse and Davey Hyams. These guys shoot the ball extremely well once they get rolling. They both are knockdown shooters. Rouse has an explosive first-step and a solid handle. Hyams is a consistent spot up shooter. Cannon Hunter brings a defensive mentality. He plays hard on both ends.

Niko Wilson has put up some solid numbers during his Lambert career. The shifty floor general can fill it up from any where on the floor. He did not have his best shooting performance but looked great on the defensive end. His quickness helped him stop or contain opposing guards. Keenan Gagen could be the running mate in the backcourt with Wilson. This shifty guard was steady throughout the open run. He played hard going downhill and made some tough contested baskets. This duo will give the Longhorns the leadership it will need this season.

Cole Kirouac is making strides to be pursued as one of the more sort after prospects in the Class of 2024. The 7-foot post has improved in the post with the ability to finish despite the extra attention he is getting. His smooth hands has helped secure the ball on rebounds and alter shots. Senior post Temidayo Alinrinmade will help take some attention from Kirouac for the Raiders. Alinrinmade is a bigger body who will operate underneath the rim. He is a solid presence inside with the capability of averaging a double-double.

Kal-El Delgadillo took advantage of the opportunity This point guard ran the offense with plenty of comfort and speed. He, along with Will Sokol, showed plenty of toughness and skills. Delgadillo mixed up his scoring opportunities. This backcourt leadership, along with junior Braden Mullis, will provide the spark and poised needed in the positions.

DeMauri Brown and Gave Mullis left many intrigued. Both are long and aggressive on the board. They both made plays and are seniors who will provide great minutes throughout South Forsyth’s season.Brandon Mankin showed some bright things on building up the opportunity to crack the rotation.

The host school players, West Forsyth, felt right at home. They all showcased their skills throughout the run. There was the grit of senior guard Brandon Goldberger. He made the 50-50 plays, which included diving for loose balls. This shows a level of want to from a person who may not lead the team in scoring but heart cannot be measured by point totals. Sam Maynard drilled shots from anywhere around the Wolverine’s den. He showed off his sneaky athleticism at the rim. Will Moore built a hot name over the summer. The 6-foot-5 slinky guard continued to build on the buzz generated during the travel basketball season. He displayed point guard skills, leadership, scoring abilities and superior athleticism. This, along with upside, is the reason many college programs will want to see moore of Moore.
